Daylight Saving Time Ending
Daylight Saving Time (DST) will be ending
in the United States on Sunday, November 1st. All SOFTS course
schedules are based on the Eastern time zone in the US. However, students
should be aware of whether or not their specific location observes DST and how
Daylight Saving Time ending may affect the time at which they join their class.
If they have any questions, or are unable to continue participating in the
course on its current schedule after DST ends, please encourage them to contact
the Helpdesk. We will do our best to support each student to ensure they can
continue receiving their language training.

Important message regarding macOS Catalina
In October, Apple will release a new operating system, macOS 10.15 Catalina.
To ensure your computer continues to work the way it should within the SOFTS platform, we strongly recommend waiting to update until we have confirmed compatibility. We are working closely with Apple and our partners to ensure that the SOFTS platform will be compatible with macOS 10.15 but some parts will not be able to be confirmed until the official new operating system is released. Upgrading your system before we have had a chance to work through the specific details of the platform after the new version is released may cause you to be unable to attend class.
We will send another notice and post an announcement once we have confirmed that everything works as it should. Thank you for your patience. In the meantime, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
